- 2 cups water
- 4 tea bags, black tea
- 2 cups milk, or lowfat milk
- 4 slices fresh ginger root, about 1 inch thick
- 1-1/2 Tbs. honey
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. sugar (optional)
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add tea bags, reduce heat, and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Remove tea bags, add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Strain and serve.
